The forum is moving to a new server, with new security measures and encryption of its data. The link becomes active on 14 October 2026.
The forum opened in 2013, alongside the site. There the first bearers met, there they discussed how to organise, and there they prepared the first legal steps for the production of the liquidation documents. The community's first texts and the first video presentation of the case came out of its discussions.
It is not a place for trading certificates or for promises. It is where a community with no offices and no treasury organises its work: who is looking for what, what has been found, what is still missing.
How the community organises itself
The bearers live in different countries. The forum is the one place where they all meet, each under the user name of their choice and without exposing their personal details. Four things happen only there:
- Registration of the bearers and the recording of their certificates
- Announcement of the hearings and of the documents filed
- Consultation before every decision
- Coordination of the research and of the archive

The mass research
The case archive, 1,186 items on more than 16,000 pages, was gathered by many people: in archives and libraries of four countries, and from families who kept certificates and papers. The research goes on. On the forum every open question becomes a specific task, with someone responsible and a deadline. Six of them, each with the document it starts from:

The original of deed 147611/1932 and the file of its ministerial approval.

The October 1937 issue of La Bourse Égyptienne in which, according to NBG, the "final statement" was published.

The files of the Egypt liquidation office from 1938 to 1974.

The statements of the liquidation account after August 1938.

Certificates, coupons and letters still held by families, in Greece, France, Egypt and elsewhere.

The transcription and translation of the French and Egyptian documents, and the identification of the stamps on the certificates.
Anyone with a certificate, a letter or a family story can contribute. Do not send originals. A photograph, front and back, is enough.
Rules
The rules are few and they do not change.
- We do not buy, sell or value certificates. Anyone who tries is removed.
- No promises about values, "bonds" or "600 billion". The case is civil and rests on a contract and on documents.
- Every claim comes with a document. What is not documented is recorded as a question, not as a fact.
- The bearers' personal details are not published, not even on the forum.
- The forum deals only with the Banque d'Orient case and gives no legal advice on other matters.

The return
The forum is temporarily closed for three reasons: it is moving to a new server, its security is being upgraded and its data are being encrypted. It reopens on 14 October 2026 with the same role: there the community organises itself and there the research is coordinated. Until then the link stays inactive. If you want to be told, send us your address. You will get a single message, when it opens.
